This past year Pratt Nature Center visited with close to 7000 school age kids , Pre K through High School. We studied the science of soil, planted, harvested and ate our own food, caught frogs and studied life-cycles. We met with animals, discussed biodiversity, ecso systems and the effect of our food choices on the environment and our health. We walked the oregon trail, studied in a colonial school house, churned butter and dipped candles. Me made our own maple syrup, studied its science, history and folklore. We touch tasted and smelled our way through too many topics to name.
Because of you…
We gave out over 220 weeks of camp scholarships not just to children with financial need but to children in need of nature. Nature is healing.
Because of you….
We are in the process of purchasing a 3.26 acre contiguous, active hayfield. Instead of being developed. Pratt Kids will be frolicking on it in the near future.
Pratt…. Because of you!
