This afternoons, after school, enrichment class got to share with me my favorite animal experience (so far) at Pratt. We have seen Coyote, Fox, Raccoon, Deer ( just this morning), Bear Tracks and have smelled a Skunk but today was something really, really cool….
While going on an adventure in the river we spotted an animal which we have only ever caught glimpes of. The Mount Tom Beaver! He not only let us have a glimpse today, he let us observe him for a good 15 minutes as he swam back and forth, under the water, through the currents and even waddled on land for a bit! In retrospect I think he might have been observing us! Someone even whispered that” he knows we are here but he doesn’t mind.”
