Tuesdays beginning January 8th, continues until April 30th. Register at any time!

Grades 6-8: 2:30 – 4:00

Grades K-2  3:30 – 5:00

Calling all friends of fish! Pratt is excited to participate in Trout Unlimited’s Trout In the Classroom project again this year. This program offers a unique experience where children can help care for brown trout as they grow from eggs to fingerlings, culminating in their release in to  the East Aspetuck River, right here at Pratt! Children will have hands on opportunities to work directly with the fish while taking care of the tank and learning how to monitor water quality. We’ll also investigate the life cycle of the trout, trout adaptations, river ecology and much more.

Since we’re watching trout grow over time, this program is a series of 15 Tuesday sessions with flexible registration options. Choose to come for individual sessions that fit into your family’s schedule or register for all sessions up front at a discount.

$15 per child per session or $125 per child for all sessions.

Space is limited and online pre-registration is required. Remember, children at Northville Elementary School and Schaghticoke Middle School can take the bus directly to Pratt after school.

Specific dates: January 8th, January 15th, January 22nd, January 29th, February 5th, February 12th, February 26th, March 5th, March 12th, March 19th, March 26th, April 2nd, April 9th, April 23rd, April 30th. (No session on Feb 19th or April 16th)

 March After School E-STEAM Lab

Monday, March 25th 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm  FOR GRADES 3-5

Wednesday, March 27th 3:30 – 5:00 FOR GRADES K-2

March’s Question: How do they fly? We’ll look to the natural world to help understand the physics of flight.

Being outside helps  us to notice. Noticing leads us to wonder. Wondering grows questions. Answering those questions means using the Environment, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math or E-STEAM! In our E-STEAM Lab, we’ll investigate the answers to different questions each time in a variety of ways through hands on experiments, activities and demonstrations that reveal the connections between the natural world and what we experience. Each session will be different but the result will be the same – kids with a better understanding of how the world around them works!

$15 per child, online pre registration is required. Space is limited, register early!

Remember, kids from Sarah Noble Intermediate School  and Northville Elementary School can take the bus to Pratt.
