Farm Animals

The Pratt Center was initially a working farm owned by Eliot Pratt before he converted it to a nature center in 1967.  Pratt Center volunteers take care of all the farm animals on the premises. The Pigmy goats can be heard “baaa’ing”.  Our resident donkey is a Mediterranean donkey and constantly wants your attention, if not an occasional carrot.  Don’t mistake the mini horse that also calls the Pratt Center its home. He likes attention too!  There are also two female Jersey Cows that share the space in the barn with the other animals. Don’t forget the chickens!
